He founded Abraham Catering in 1951. He owned and operated Abraham Poultry Store, Abraham Produce Co. and Big Rig Union Truck Stop. He served lunch and dinner at Campbell's Soup Company, operated Cafeteria U.S. Air Force Missile Silo in Mead, Neb., was a Shriner's greeter and Mason and member of the Sertoma Club, Business Breakfast Club and Jr. and Sr. Omaha Chamber of Commerce. He was President four times of the Phoenicians Club.

He was Managing Director of the Blackstone Hotel for 31 years. He was certified in hotel management and a member of the Midwest, Nebraska and Omaha Hotel Associations. He was a member of the National and Omaha Restaurant Association, the Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Tribe of Yessir. He had many write-ups in national publications, including the July 1950 Hotel Management stating, "most accessible hotel man West of the Mississippi."

He was Executive Chef for United Airlines for 26 years. He is a native of Thun, Switzerland, and apprenticed at Montreaux Palace Hotel. He was a Chef in the Swiss Merchant Marines and at Hotel Schwizerhof in Bern, Switzerland, Grant Hotel Royal in Stockholm and Walper Hotel in Kitchener, Canada.
