Jim was born in 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska
He later moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where he attended Pius X High School then University of Nebraska and University of Rhode Island, B.A. in Political Science
Other education to include: Navy Flight Training Program, Naval War College Command and Staff Course, National Defense University Capstone for Flag and General Officers
He is certified in Commercial Pilots License with Instrument Ratings
Jim joined the U. S. Navy and moved up to Rear Admiral, 1959-1992
He went on to Senior Technologies, Inc. as Vice President, Strategic Planning, Vice President, Engineering and finally Vice President, Product Support, 1993-1998
He was a Consultant for NCEE Labs in 1998 as well as President at Riser Bond Instruments, Inc., 1998-2002
Jim was the Executive Director of the Nebraska Restaurant Association, 2003-2019
Current Owner, Deer Springs Winery
Affiliated with United Way, Red Cross, Lancaster County Visitor Promotion, Lancaster County Planning Commission, NE Chamber of Commerce and industry, NE Federation of Business Associations, Council of State Restaurant Associations, NE Winery and Grape Growers Association, NE Coalition of Immigration Reform, National immigrations Reform, Golden Eagles Lifetime Achievement
Military Awards include: Legion of Merit (5), Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal (2), Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V (4), South Vietnamese Air Gallantry Cross and Presidential Unit Citation
Jim was married to his late wife Barbara for 61 years, has 3 Children and 5 Grandchildren
